As part of our commitment to caring for our team and our community, we at Daredevils & Queens have put together an extensive set of safety policies and procedures for our day-to-day operations when we re-opened.

As you can probably imagine, this is a totally new situation not only for us, but for salons around the world.

We are doing our best to create the best possible salon experience for our clients without sacrificing our high safety standards during this time. That said, we understand that these new COVID-19 safety procedures will have an impact on your visit to our hair salon, and so we have carefully laid out the changes here so that you can know what to expect at your next appointment.

Our safety protocols were designed to meet or exceed recommendations from the CDC, state health authorities, and Sonoma County Health Officer. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the salon!

CLIENT EXPERIENCE PROTOCOLS

Before Your Appointment

Not feeling well?

If you or anyone in your home have experienced ANY of the following symptoms within 14 days of your appointment, please give us a call to reschedule your appointment.

We continue to be understanding and kind and will continue to NOT charge a late cancellation if you are ill or experiencing symptoms.  Call / text your stylist or the salon as soon as you can so we can offer your spot to someone who’s been patiently waiting to see us. 

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Fever

  • Chills

  • Muscle pain

  • Sore throat

  • New loss of taste or smell

Check-In

To follow state and CDC guidelines, our waiting area is closed at this time. Therefore, please follow these easy steps to make the start of your appointment a breeze:

  1. When you arrive remain in your vehicle or just outside the entry. Let us know you are here by call/text, we will meet you at the door or let you know when your stylist is ready to begin your appointment.     

  2. before you enter the salon, we may  take your temperature with an infrared touchless thermometer. 

    • Following CDC guidelines, anyone with a temperature of 100.00 or higher will not be allowed into the salon and will be asked to reschedule their service.  

  3. Wearing a mask inside the salon is mandatory at all times. If you bring your own, that’s great! Just be sure it loops around the ears, and note that if you're receiving a color service, color may stain your mask. Ask us for a disposable mask if you need one!

  4.  Beverage service at this time is limited. You may bring your own from home, but please be mindful of others when moving or adjusting your mask. 

  5. Come Alone – no additional friends/partners/children/pets . If you are unable to make other arrangements for your companion(s), you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.

  6. Please only bring what you need, avoid bringing purses, coats, etc.

During Your Service

  1. Most of our salon stylist stations are already 6 ft apart, where they are less than 6 ft, and in our shampoo are we are using every other station to maintain physical distancing.  Please help us maintain a 6ft distance between every client and every team member by using the helpful signage  posted around the salon. 

  2. Retail area – its kind of like a museum! Feel free to look, but please let our team help you take products off the shelves.


Check-Out

As always, for services we will be providing Chairside Checkout! 

  1. During your color processing time, or at the end of any service, we will walk you through how to checkout.

  2. Check with your stylist for forms of payment accepted. 

  3. if you are interested in purchasing product, your stylist can help you all the way through, what products are best for you, taking them off the shelf and check out. We are no longer accepting checks for product purchases. Credit or Cash accepted.

  4. Online orders and curbside pickup are still available, call or email the salon, arrangements will be made specially for you. 

SALON SANITATION

We are taking time between every client to fully sanitize our stations and tools, following the specific guidelines.

COVID-19 Barbicide Certified Salon

  1. All stylists are certified in COVID-19-specific practices for proper infection control, cleaning, and disinfection.

  2. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

  3.  ALL Daredevils & Queens team members will each be wearing a face mask throughout the day. 

  4. Clients are asked to bring their own mask and wear it at all times. 

Hand washing and Hand Sanitizer

  1. Daredevils & Queens team members are required to wash/sanitize their hands thoroughly and frequently throughout each service and in between each client.

  2. Hand sanitizer will be available at each station and through out the salon for client and stylist use.

  3. Clients are asked to also wash/ sanitize their hands thoroughly at the beginning and end of their appointment.

Sanitization

  1. Stylists will perform a rigorous  sanitization of their station, shampoo bowls/chairs and tools in between each client.

  2. Salon team members will be sanitizing commonly-used surfaces in the salon several times per hour.

Air Quality

  1. The salon’s HVAC system has been upgraded with high-quality air filters.

  2. The air in the salon will be circulated continuously during operating hours to ensure proper filtration and sanitization.

  3. Our Salon is lofty and has an open airy feeling.

Miscellaneous

  1. All trash cans within the salon have been upgraded to touchless trash cans.

  2. High-touch objects like magazines and the Keurig machine have been removed from the salon entirely. The filtered water dispenser is restricted to staff use only and is being sanitized regularly.

  3. New signage has been installed in the salon to facilitate proper phyiscal distancing.
